Andrew Swinton Andrew Swinton has a Sculpture degree from Norwich School of Art, where after graduating he shared an 11th century converted church art studio for a couple of years. Following several articles in the local press and coverage by the BBC, Andrew was commissioned to carve an 11 foot mermaid for a 100 ft yacht in the South of France where he lived on board while making the sculpture. He has always been interested in making original and unpredictable figurative sculptures. The ‘enigma’ table sculpture was carved in Antwerp over a four month period from a single piece of wild cherry wood and only two cold bronze casts were made.
